Last night was our SUMMER themed quiz night and despite the heat, we had a record number of people turn up. Our regular quizzers, some old faces that we haven't seen for a while and some new faces.
It was a little bit disconcerting when everyone's mobile phone went off with the Government's Safety Alert, but in true N&M tradition, as the saying goes, we kept calm and we carried on. Some questions were hard, some questions were easy, we had plenty of banter and at the end of the quiz, final scores were very close and our winning team won just by one point.
So, well done quizzers and THANK YOU for supporting our evening.
It is a bit cooler today, and as usual, we have plenty to offer you:
We open at 12 noon.
Once again, our terrace and garden areas will be set up for the afternoon, and the air conditioning will be on in the bars for those of you preferring to be inside. Our evening entertainment (from 8.00pm to 11.00pm) will be supplied by NEIL DEVLIN who will be presenting his tribute act "TOM SCONES".
PLEASE NOTE that on Saturday evenings, persons under the age of 14 are not allowed in the main bar after 7.00pm.
WE WILL BE OPEN FROM 12 NOON AGAIN ON SUNDAY.
Roast lunches will be available from 12 noon to 3.00pm
And HARVEST MOON, our jazz trio will be here to entertain you from 1.00pm to 4.00pm.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST, every Sunday at the Naval & Military Club, is BINGO NIGHT!
Tickets are on sale from 7.30pm. The first game starts at 8.30 pm
