Fighting Through 28 CIC – More Than a Gym.
Fighting Through 28 CIC is a community-focused boxing and fitness organisation built around one simple belief: together, we fight through.
Based in Southend-on-Sea, Fighting Through 28 provides a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where people from all walks of life can come together, build confidence, improve their physical health and develop the discipline, resilience and belief needed to overcome life’s challenges.
Through boxing, fitness, mentoring and community support, FT28 works with people affected by addiction, mental health difficulties, social isolation, low confidence and challenging circumstances. Our aim is not simply to teach people how to box, but to help people change their lives. The gym has become a place where people can find purpose, belonging, friendship and a sense of family.
Built Through Battle – 18th September 2026
On 18th September, Fighting Through 28 will take its values into the ring with Built Through Battle, our first-ever boxing show, held at the Naval and Military Club, Southend-on-Sea.
This will be a landmark event, with more than 12 bouts, including two exciting title fights, bringing together fighters ready to test themselves in front of a live audience.
What makes Built Through Battle truly different is its commitment to the principles at the heart of FT28. The event will be completely alcohol and drug-free, creating a safe, positive and family-focused environment for fighters, supporters and the wider community.
We believe this will be the first boxing show of its kind in the country, demonstrating that fight nights can be exciting, competitive and entertaining without alcohol or drugs.
Built Through Battle is more than a night of boxing. It is a celebration of discipline, courage, recovery, community and the power of people coming together.
